Suzuki Corolla Rival based on S Concept

Suzuki is known for its small cars around the world. But hasn’t had much success in sedan or SUV segment. All the products couldn’t get the volumes. Now Suzuki has decided to enter into the big segment and fight against Toyota corolla and other big rivals.Corolla is world best selling car.Suzuki doesn’t bring out new products quickly and this is one of the big reason why Suzuki is more profitable compare to its rivals.Suzuki is working to reposition SX4 sedan.Suzuki didn’t get the numbers with the SX4.All the market SX4 present got only mild numbers.

Suzuki-S-CROSS-Concept

The SX4 is in a league of its own. It’s a bit of a no man’s land. Let’s call it unique. The engine’s fantastic. [But] the dimensions are too small to be a genuine small car like Corolla, Civic, etc. We’re actually looking at repositioning [the SX4]. We know the car’s too good to represent the volume we’re doing.“We’re doing about 2000 a year, we should be doing 8000 to 10,000 [in the small-car segment].”We know the car’s too good to represent the volumes we are doing,” Tony Devers, Head, Suzuki Australia, said.New car will be inspired of the S cross concept.

Suzuki-S-CROSS-Concept-2

Next generation SX4 is longer and wider than the current SX4.Also Suzuki will reduce the height of the SX4.next generation SX4 will be based on the kizashi platform.Interiors get more premium materials and features.Styling will be inspired from the Kizashi and Swift models.SX4 also get brand new engines from Suzuki which will be more powerful and fuel efficient than the current engines. In India we also get the automatic transmission. So we can expect to see more SX4 in our roads in the future.
