Honda Brio Automatic Review

Honda Brio Automatic is the latest arrival in the automatic segment.Honda Brio Automatic doesn’t have a huge competition.Because automatic in India is widely accepted.Big concern with the Automatic gearbox is the fuel efficiency.Automatic gearbox gives less fuel efficiency and also less performance compared to the manual gearbox. On the flip side Automatic gear box provide ease of driving.Driving in city is effortless. So can the New Brio Automatic perform better than the other small automatic cars.

Honda Brio is the best selling model for Honda.Honda hasn’t changed anything outside.Brio Automatic looks same as the Manual Brio.Only difference is the small automatic name plate in the Rear.On the inside Brio Automatic get the same materials and features from the manual Brio. Then you notice the new automatic gearbox in the place of the manual gearshift.Honda offers CVT gearbox in Thailand and other parts of the world where Brio launched. But in India Honda uses a conventional automatic gearbox with Torque converter. This gearbox is similar to the City automatic gearbox. But the Gear ratios in the brio 5 speed automatic is different compared to the city.

Honda brio uses 5 speed automatic gearbox which gives a great advantage for brio because most of the others use 4 speed automatic gearbox.Brio Automatic has seven gear positions.P,R,N and D are the regular.Honda has added D1,2 and 3.When you start driving Brio automatic it feels very smooth and easy.gentle push on the accelerator and Brio automatic feels peppy and gearbox shifts very fast. But when you want a sudden overtake or when you push the pedal to the metal. There is a small lag in the gearbox.Automatic transmission takes it own time to shift.Another great advantage with the Brio automatic gearbox is that you can hold gears using D2 and D1.Gear will not shift even the RPM meter on the red line.On an open road Brio is fast and overtaking is without a problem.Honda has given a ECO Mode indicator which tells if you are driving for fuel efficiency or enjoying.

Honda brio automatic is powered by the same 1,2 L i-VTEC engine which gives 88 bhp @ 6000 RPM and torque of 109 NM @ 4500 RPM.Honda Brio automatic gives 16.5 KMPL fuel efficiency in the ARAI testing while the manual brio gives 19.4 kmpl in ARAI testing.Brio automatic is only 2.9 kmpl  behind the manual.Which is very good.So Honda has got the balance between fuel efficiency and performance.Honda Brio Automatic is RS 60,000 more expensive than the manual brio.If you are looking for a automatic petrol hatch then you must consider brio. Can the Brio automatic bring numbers in the festival season.
